Beacon Lighting is looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to join our Retail Leadership Team, responsible for driving sales performance, profitability and team capability across approximately 11 stores throughout Brisbane South and the Gold Coast.

THE ROLE
Reporting to the State Sales Manager, the purpose of this role is to lead and support the performance of our Brisbane South and Gold Coast stores, ensuring our teams are empowered to deliver exceptional customer experiences while achieving sales and profitability targets.

Key responsibilities include:

• Drive sales, stock, expense and profit performance across approximately 11 stores
• Provide strong leadership, coaching and support to Store Managers and their teams
• Lead recruitment, induction, training, development and retention initiatives across the region
• Conduct regular store visits to identify opportunities, address challenges and maintain operational standards
• Develop and implement strategies to grow sales and profitability across the region
• Build strong relationships with customers and identify opportunities to grow trade sales
• Monitor and improve customer service, visual merchandising and operational standards
• Analyse store performance and use insights to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Reinforce company policies, procedures and expectations across all stores
• Work collaboratively with the State Sales Manager and wider Retail Leadership Team to achieve business objectives

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced multi-site retail leader with a strong track record of driving sales performance and developing high-performing teams.

• Proven experience managing multi-site retail operations
• Strong commercial and business acumen, with the ability to analyse performance and identify opportunities
• A demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop Store Managers and retail teams
• Strong sales and customer service focus, with a passion for achieving results
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
• A proactive approach and genuine drive for continuous improvement
• The ability to build strong relationships and positively influence teams across multiple locations
• Experience within lighting, hardware, electrical, homewares, furniture or a similar retail environment will be highly regarded, but is not essential
• Most importantly, you’re a natural leader who knows how to inspire people, drive accountability and create a high-performing retail culture.
