THE ROLE

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a new Systems Analyst to join our dynamic IT team at the Nunawading office, reporting to the Infrastructure Lead.

 

This role will contribute to the success of our IT operations by ensuring the seamless functionality, security, and enhancement of our systems and infrastructure. The purpose of this role include:

  • Maintain and monitor the technical aspects of the core IT infrastructure, MS Windows systems and networks within the company to ensure stable and secure operation
  • Develop and support IT infrastructure requirements of the organisation and implement infrastructure solutions that meet IT strategic objectives
  • Assist the Infrastructure lead with designing, managing, and rolling out strategic plans for Infrastructure setup to meet existing and future needs and contribute to business development
  • Manage security and disaster recovery in relation to IT infrastructure including the documentation, communication, and implementation of related processes
  • Perform operational tasks to ensure all servers and security systems are consistently updated and fully patched to safeguard against cyber threats.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administer and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure components including Cloud services, VMware Clusters, M365, AD Services, Citrix, MS Exchange, and other core platforms
  • Manage and support the company’s network infrastructure, including NBN, SD-WAN, VPN solutions, and Wireless security
  • Maintaining the availability and performance of systems and software, inclusive of virtual and physical infrastructure in data centre environment to ensure optimum systems performance and highlight potential issue
  • Implement and maintain stores’ broadband services and network devices with good Wi-Fi coverage and network connectivity
  • Providing escalated 2nd level technical support, troubleshooting and fault rectification of issues relating to Infrastructure & Web services
  • Documenting detailed system configuration for the purpose of quality, transparency, knowledge transfer and business continuity
  • A strong focus on customer service and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Contribute to the development and execution of Disaster Recovery plan, ensuring the resilience and continuity of all core systems within the group
  • Providing after-hours IT support and maintenance to the business when required
  • Travelling to Derrimut and/or commercial offices when required

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, working with third-party service providers
  • Intermediate knowledge of IT Infrastructure, including VMware Management, Active Directory, MS Exchange, Citrix, and basic Networking topologies
  • Experience to support critical infrastructure in data centre environment. Configure and maintain Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft Server Clusters, M365, integration and working knowledge of Microsoft products
  • Installation and maintenance of system software tools, operating systems, patching, and application deployment, data protection and specialised utilities
  • Basic understanding of IT Security, Data protection and Cloud-based environment
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technology topics into layperson terms
  • Pragmatic, result-oriented and hands-on attitude
