Full Time Lighting Designer / Sales Associate

Utilise your sales skills in retail and passion for interior design to light up our customers’ lives

THE ROLE

Based at our Claremont store, this Full Time sales and design role will involve working 10 days and 76 hours over a fortnight including every second weekend (Saturday and Sunday). Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Provide expert professional customer service and product advice to our retail and trade customers in the showroom as well as working on lighting design projects                 
  • Build the design business by proactively seeking project opportunities from our retail and trade customers
  • Nurture client relationships through the entire design process
  • Read and interpret house and electrical plans to create inspirational lighting designs to suit the customers’ needs and budget
  • Contribute to the overall presentation of the showroom through merchandising new products, assisting with promotional set ups, and general housekeeping
  • Keep up to date with the latest technology and trends in design

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following qualities:

  • Previous experience in a retail environment, achieving sales targets and working towards budgets
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to genuinely connect with your customers
  • An energetic and enthusiastic approach to all aspects of your job
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritise your work effectively
  • A strong attention to detail
  • Previous lighting design work experience or interior design studies favourably looked upon but not essential, however, your passion for lighting and interior design MUST shine through

The Beacon Design Studio is a new concept designed to provide our clients with expert advice on all their lighting design needs.
