At ouBunbury store, you'll help customers find the perfect lighting solutions while creating an exceptional in-store experience. Working as part of a supportive team, you will:

THE ROLE

Based at our Osborne Park store and responsible for establishing, developing and maintaining strong relationships with local trade clients, key responsibilities of this role include:

• Expanding the trade customer base and maintaining lasting relationships with these customers
• Liaising with trade customers and responding to their enquiries
• Utilising product and pricing knowledge to make recommendations to trade customers
• Promoting company initiatives, such as the Trade Loyalty Program and Trade accounts, to local electricians and builders
• Spending time ‘on the road’ visiting new and existing customers, as well as promoting special offers and products
• Educating other store team members on trade-based opportunities
• Meeting KPIs and delivering on sales budgets
  

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following qualities:

• A background in sales, with trade sales experience highly regarded
• Previous experience in sourcing new business and generating leads
• Strong communication skills with the ability to genuinely connect with your customers
• The confidence to cold-call and ‘win-over’ new business
• An energetic and enthusiastic approach to all aspects of your job
• A strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise your work effectively
• A current driver’s license

• Achieve and exceed personal sales targets
• Support other team members to ensure business goals are met
• Contribute to the overall presentation of the store through merchandising and general housekeeping
• Support your local community and charitable organisations

Utilise your sales skills in retail and passion for interior design to light up our customers’ lives

• Use your creative flair in this unique sales and design role

THE ROLE

Based at our Busselton store, this part time sales and design role will involve working 45 hours over a fortnight including Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Key responsibilities of the role include:            

• Provide expert professional customer service and product advice to our retail and trade customers in the showroom as well as working on lighting design projects                 
• Build the design business by proactively seeking project opportunities from our retail and trade customers
• Nurture client relationships through the entire design process
• Read and interpret house and electrical plans to create inspirational lighting designs to suit the customers’ needs and budget
• Contribute to the overall presentation of the showroom through merchandising new products, assisting with promotional set ups, and general housekeeping
• Keep up to date with the latest technology and trends in design

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following qualities:

• Previous experience in a retail environment, achieving sales targets and working towards budgets
• Strong communication skills with the ability to genuinely connect with your customers
• An energetic and enthusiastic approach to all aspects of your job
• The ability to multi-task and prioritise your work effectively
• A strong attention to detail
• Previous lighting design work experience or interior design studies favourably looked upon but not essential, however, your passion for lighting and interior design MUST shine through

It’s an exciting time to be working at Beacon Lighting, as we enter into new markets and grow the business year on year. The Beacon Design Studio is a concept designed to provide our clients with expert advice on all their lighting design needs. As a one-stop-shop for renovators, new home buyers, builders, architects and interior designers, our Design Studio will be at the forefront of the latest trends in lighting design. Working with our clients our Lighting Designers will offer an unprecedented service, that is, the Beacon Design Studio.
