Beacon Lighting Group is looking for an exceptional Chief Financial Officer to join our Executive Leadership Team and play a critical role in shaping the future of our business.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Board, the CFO will be a key strategic partner across the Group, combining strong financial stewardship with commercial leadership, enterprise thinking and a genuine focus on creating long-term value.

The CFO will lead the Group's financial strategy and performance across its Australian and international operations, providing clear commercial insight and constructive challenge to support sound decision-making.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Partnering with the CEO, Board and Executive Management Team on Group strategy, annual business planning, budgets, forecasts and the long-term financial outlook.
• Leading financial planning, forecasting, reporting, treasury, cash flow, capital allocation and working capital.
• Ensuring accurate, timely and decision-useful management and statutory reporting across the Group.
• Maintaining a strong financial control, governance, audit and risk environment in an ASX-listed organisation.
• Providing clear and forward-looking reporting to the Board and Audit & Risk Committee and supporting market, shareholder and investor communications.
• Maintaining trusted relationships with external auditors, banks, insurers, advisers and other key stakeholders.
• Providing financial governance across the Group's Australian and international entities, including tax, transfer pricing, intercompany arrangements and foreign exchange.
• Acting as an enterprise executive and commercial partner across retail, trade, digital, property, supply chain and emerging business operations.
• Leading the continued transformation of Finance through automation, AI, integrated systems, data and improved reporting.
• Overseeing the General Manager – Supply Chain across inventory, logistics, working capital, cost, resilience and continuous improvement.
• Building and developing a high-performing Finance team with clear accountability, capability, succession and development.

About You

You will be an accomplished senior finance executive with significant experience operating in a complex, commercially focused organisation.

You will bring:

• Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance executive within an ASX-listed or similarly complex organisation.
• Strong retail, consumer, multi-site or distribution experience.
• CA, CPA or equivalent recognised professional accounting qualification.
• Experience within an ASX-listed or similarly regulated organisation, including Board, Audit & Risk Committee and external audit engagement.
• Strong retail, consumer or other complex commercial experience, with a sound understanding of sales, margin, inventory, working capital, property, supply chain and customer economics.
• Experience across multi-entity and international operations, including taxation, foreign exchange and cross-border financial governance.
• Demonstrated capability across budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, capital allocation, treasury and cash management.
• A track record of translating financial information into clear commercial decisions and identifying opportunities to improve performance and returns.
• Experience leading finance transformation, systems, automation, data and reporting improvement.
• The ability to influence and constructively challenge the CEO, Board and senior leadership team while building strong, trusted relationships.
• High integrity, sound judgement, resilience and a genuine commitment to developing people and building high-performing teams.

THE ROLE

Based at our Parkinson warehouse, the purpose of the FL Driver & Picker is to ensure all customers receive their products in a timely manner. This is a fast paced role, working on stock management and ensuring all customer deliveries are processed and picked in a timely manner. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Pick and process stock orders accurately, using equipment such as forklifts to access stock and deliver items to the dispatch area

• Prepare goods for dispatch through safe and appropriate packing, wrapping and palletising

• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, to move incoming stock into designated storage locations

• Use RF scanners accurately across all functions relating to stock picking and replenishment

• Maintain and care for equipment used in the picking and replenishment process

• Ensure all accompanying documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner

• Assist with receiving incoming goods, including container unloading, as required

• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required from time to time

ABOUT YOU

This role is vital for supporting our sales team and ensuring that our clients receive the best of service. You will therefore possess the following skills and attributes:

• You thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Experience with forklifts is essential - Must have valid FL license (High Reach - Highly Desirable)
• Previous experience working within a warehouse or stockroom environment is highly advantageous
• You have strong organisational skills and take pride in keeping work areas clean, structured, and efficient
• You are confident using computers and inventory management systems to process stock accurately
• You are reliable, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks while meeting daily deadlines
• You communicate clearly and work well within a team environment
• You take ownership of your work, ensuring customer orders and deliveries are handled correctly the first time

THE ROLE

Based out of our commercial office, we are looking for a Residential Lighting Designer to connect directly with the builder’s clients and apply their expert knowledge in delivering practical and creative lighting plans and solutions to our volume residential building clients across Regional Victoria & Port Melbourne! 

Please note; this is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Reading and understanding architectural and electrical plans

• Creating lighting design plans that reflect the customer’s needs and design concepts

• Selecting and specifying product and placement solutions that fit the customer brief whilst providing a professional, knowledgeable, and efficient service

• Applying knowledge of technical issues to ensure appropriate recommendations are made that facilitate efficient and successful installations

• Assisting in seeking opportunities that grow the consultation service

• Ensuring all administrative requirements are followed through, attending to phone enquiries, reporting on consultations and safety procedures, and completing all relevant paperwork

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A proven track record in the Lighting/Electrical industry preferred but not essential

• Strong customer service and sales skills, focusing on providing a personalised service and a flexible approach

• The ability to negotiate effectively and contribute towards the improvement of profitability, compliance and overall business structure

• Experience or knowledge in interior/lighting design and the ability to read and interpret house plans

• A strong attention to detail, using systems competently, preparing quotes and orders

• An energetic and enthusiastic approach when engaging with clients and other key stakeholders

• The ability to work in a team environment and support the team towards a common goal

• A positive attitude and resilience through challenges and pressures

Part of the Beacon Lighting Group, the Commercial Sales Division provides an exclusive lighting design and consultancy service to the large volume residential building market in Australia. We also specialise in project and specification lighting in various commercial sites including apartments, hotels, and aged care facilities.
